SSS Board Member/program facilitators, Jim Goodlett, Paul Taylor and Jim
Gallagher, will be at the host site of Armstrong
Atlantic State University here in Savannah Georgia.

John Calvert is a graduate of Central
Missouri State University. Mr. Calvert is an aeronautical
engineer and has studied rocketry since childhood.
He has instructed numerous groups of students (of
all ages, remembering that some of us are still young
adults (if not kids at heart)) on the science of rocketry.
Calvert currently holds a position with a private
aeronautical engineering company, LMI
Aerospace, which manufactures winglets and panels
(skins) for companies like Gulfstream.
Previously he was the Sales Engineer for Nordam
Group when they were working with Gulfstream
Aeropsace. Mr. Calvert has an FAA airframe and
powerplant license, including having an inspectors
following are the directions for getting to the
Heading South from Downtown.
The rocketry build session will be held at the
AASU Engineering Lab. We'll have a few
additional parking passes available in lab room
being distributed by a SSS board member. Display
pass on the front left dash of your car; otherwise,
you may receive a parking ticket from Armstrong
Security Police. DON'T FORGET TO (a) PRINT OUT YOUR PARKING PASS BEFORE GETTING TO THE BUILDING, and (b) PUT THE PARKING PASS ON THE DASH OF YOUR PARKED CAR!!
Travel south on Abercorn past the Oglethorpe Mall,
the Home Depot/Lowes shopping center, and then
one intersection before the Savannah Mall...Armstrong
Atlantic State University will be on your left.
Turn left into the campus and follow the green arrow route shown above to get to the
parking area in front of the Science Department
Buidling. WE REPEAT, DON'T FORGET TO (a) PRINT OUT YOUR PARKING PASS BEFORE GETTING TO THE BUILDING, and (b) PUT THE PARKING PASS ON THE DASH OF YOUR PARKED CAR!!
3. To the south and across the Library Drive street from the SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY BUILDING, walk up the sidewalk, and enter the one story building to the
left...and head to the designated room.
